The Golfo dei Poeti

Architecture Nature

Together with the nearby Cinque Terre, Porto Venere and the three islands of Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto have been included by UNESCO in the World Heritage Site list as a significant example of how men have managed to live and shape the surrounding environment without altering the beauty of the original landscape.

Portovenere, Lerici, Tellaro

A day to discover the beautiful hamlets and beaches of the Golfo dei Poeti: Portovenere with its Byron route and ancient fishing village, a perfect combination of nature and architecture, Lerici with its golden shores that descend towards the blue sea and large inlets, is one of the most recommended places in Liguria for a child-friendly experience; and finally Tellaro, with its marina, narrow alleys and beautiful beaches that surround it, from Fiascherino or for the more daring walkers to the beaches of Punta Corvo near Montemarcello.

Useful Information – The Ligurian Riviera di Levante has extraordinary landscapes and places are often difficult to access. The advice is to use the existing paid car parks that are located near the beaches or car parks in the city centre (for example, the Central Parking of LericiPortovenere or Tellaro Parking) and then move on foot or by bicycle or local bus.

An evocative alternative is to reach the Golfo dei Poeti by sea and visit the archipelago of Portovenere with its islands of Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto via the boat service.
