Food museums

Created to recount the history of the gastronomic land par excellence, the eight food museums of Parma bear witness to a centuries-old traditions of the region’s typical products. An itinerary in the province to the most important museums of the Emilian culinary tradition; starting from the Parmigiano Reggiano Museum in Soragna, on to the Langhirano Ham Museum and the Collechio Tomato Museum and ending with the Salami Museum in Felino.

Historic centre

An itinerary in the historic centre on foot or by bike sharing through the Ducal Palace and the Ducal Park, the museum and historical complex of the Pilotta, up to the heart of the city, Piazza Duomo with its cathedral and the Baptistery.

For opera lovers, a visit to Teatro Regio is a must for opera, dance, concerts and recitals and, among all the events, the unmissable Verdi Festival (every year in October, the month of birth of the great Parma composer).
